Helping Quality Organizations to fulfill their Mighty Missions

WPMP Consulting Inc. - Overview

Fundraising

WPMP Consulting Inc. helps non-profit, faith-based, and charitable organizations with fundraising. We meet with their paid and volunteer leadership to develop overall fundraising goals and strategies. We help them to build upon or create an annual giving program, to establish successful fundraising events, and to set up large campaigns. We see our role primarily as coach, mentor, and problem solver. We do not do actual fundraising for the organizations with which we consult. Time and time again we have celebrated with our clients as they achieved fundraising success far in excess of their wildest dreams.

Powell strives to help others learn how to successfully raise money for the mighty missions of quality organizations. WPMP Consulting Inc. strives to help others learn to succeed and to not require on-going fundraising supportl

Non-profit organizations

WPMP Consulting Inc. associates have decades of senior leadership experience with non-profit organizations. Over 29 years Powell served as CEO of Progress Industries (Newton and Des Monies Iowa) and Class Ltd (Columbus Kansas). He continues to serve quality non-profit and faith-based organizations. He serves as mentor, coach, and resource for non-profit Executive Directors throughout various regions of the U.S. He listens, and helps paid and volunteer leaders in quality non-profit and faith-based organizations to discover their own solutions. While he has a wealth of policies and procedures, and organizational plan which he shares, he fully expects these organizations to make these documents truly their own. He can listen, he can help leaders find solutions, and he can be a comfort in times of stress.

Carf Accreditation

WPMP Consulting Inc. helps human service organizations with Carf International accreditation. We show quality organizations how to obtain and retain Carf International accreditation.  While we work in-depth with quality organizations and their paid and volunteer leadership we serve as mentors and consultants. We may DRAFT some policies and procedures or other documents but our goal is for the organization to build on its own success and to utilize our input to enhance that success. We have been very successful in helping quality organizations preparing for their initial accreditation, those coming off a one-year accreditation, and even those with a three year accreditation and seeking re-accreditation

Books Written

As a new author, William H. Powell and his co-author Paul Pirpes have helped quality organizations raise very significant amount of funds. Powell has written three books in the past few years.  Raising Money For Mighty Missions Steps to Success – Doing What Matters Most identifies eight key steps to beginning fundraising and to long-term fundraising success. It also provides tips on: annual fund, special events, governmental funding, and grant writing.

Powell’s Book A Taste of War  is the recollections of an Infantry Platoon Leader’s year of service in Vietnam. Powell does not claim to be a “hero,” but simple relates his experiences in a deeply personal way. Readers of this book range from combat veterans and their children and grandchildren to others just interested in this saga in the life of the U.S. Military.

Powell’s Book Death Comes to Bella Vista Arkansas  is a pure work of fiction. But it is written with a depth of detail of the geographic and other settings of Northwest Arkansas. It takes the reader into the mind of a “deranged serial killer.” The quiet hills and deep valleys of the serenity that is Bella Vista is shattered as the killer time and time again stalks and kills the next victim. The ending and the lead up to the ending are totally unexpected.

Fundraising - Mighty Mission Principles:

Mission must drive everything

Identify urgent, compelling needs

Secure the commitment of a few others

Set up and carry out a practical and realistic plan

Invest significant time, talents and fiscal resources

Organize—and then make the ask over and over again

Never quit until funds needed to fulfill the mission are raised

Sincerely thank every donor seven times—don’t ever lose contact
